Senior Environmental Advisor

This leading organisation plays a key part in North Queensland’s resources and mining industry and has been operating in Townsville for over 16 years.
 
Due to their continued business expansion and targets to achieve environmental excellence, an immediate opportunity is on offer for an experienced environmental engineer/scientist to join this company on a secondment until 30 November.
 
You will use your demonstrated experience and understanding in environmental monitoring and reporting including air, water, noise, and sediment/soil to provide support and technical advice to their Townsville site. 
 
The successful candidate will ideally possess 4+ years experience in a similar position in particularly a strong understanding of the QLD legislation regarding regulated and traceable wastes, air and water quality monitoring and data analysis combined with experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
 
Strong proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables, data validation, and basic programming would be highly regarded.
