Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager Utilities sector - Power, Water, Gas. Circa $170K Total Package. Solution Sales for Large Contracts and Projects.


As a key element of our client's growth plans they are investing heavily into the National Business Development team and are offering an exciting and challenging BDM opportunity which will focus on the utilities sector across NSW, VIC, Tas and SA. They are a long standing business with considerable resources and are keen to support their driven BD team to be successful in winning contracts and project services via solution sales methodologies.


Based in Western Sydney for 1 day per week you will be working within a team environment however you will enjoy the autonomy to drive sales for your sector. As this role is regional you will undertake travel interstate and be highly structured in your establishing and execution of sales plans. Prior experience in selling into the Utilities sector will be highly regarded however this will need to be solution sales rather than transactional or commodities based. You will have a strong demonstrated history of establishing relationships and determining client requirements, influencing key decision makers and gaining sales confirmation for high value deals. Experience with and an understanding of government regulations for this sector and tender scenarios will be a considerable advantage.
