Principal Mining Engineer

They are successful, stable and have excellent prospects for future growth, with aggressive plans in place that aim to significantly increase production levels throughout 2012.  An extraordinary opportunity has recently become available for a technical expert to join their mine planning team in Perth as the primary open pit specialist. 
 
Reporting directly into the General Manager of Technical Services, your duties will revolve around studies and planning for future and existing open pit operations. You will lead the open pit planning function and provide high level technical support and input, including planning from short term up to LOM, optimisation, scheduling and design. Constant business improvement through review of operations and practices will be a key part of the role, contributing to the continuing and increasing success of the company. You will forge close working relationships with both the Perth based technical team and the General Managers and Technical Services teams of all the sites, seeing that more is achieved through close collaboration. This pivotal role will see you involved in the formulation of strategy, budgets and key business decision-making. 
 
You are a tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with substantial. Playing a key role in the strategic team you will have exceptional written and oral communication skills.
