Field Surveyor

Our client assists with all aspects of investigating, planning, designing, environmental, engineering or modifying a development, no matter where it is located. 

They are currently seeking a number of Surveyors & Junior Surveyors to be based in the Chinchilla and Roma areas for long term projects. 

Reporting to the Survey Operations Manager your main focus will be to undertake field surveys and appropriate reduction of data sometimes in remote locations. 

YOUR other tasks will include: 

• Conduct Cadastral Surveys, Engineering Surveys, Detailed Surveys and Infrastructure Surveys as per job instruction 
• Ensuring cadastral surveys comply with relevant legislation 
• Reducing data collected in the field and extracting it into a CAD package or appropriate sketch plan 
• Complying with the company's quality assurance policies and procedures 
• Maintenance of surveying equipment & motor vehicles 
• Liaising with Project Managers, Directors and Survey Manager with regards to project progress 
• Compliance with Occupational Health & Safety policies & procedures 

To be successful YOU will have: 

• Relevant qualifications & eligibility for registration with the QLD Surveyors Board 
• Sound exp using CAD and or Trimble 
• Intermediate level of MS Office Skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to continually prioritise workload 
• Excellent analytical, decision making and problem solving skills 
• Ability to produce high quality survey outputs 
• Ability to work effectively in both individual & team environments
