Pit Supervisor

Salary: $80 000 +++

Overview:

The People Bank is currently looking for a Pit Supervisor for their client, one of the worlds top 10 steel producers. The project they are currently working on is at construction stage and due to start up in the following months.

Responsibilities:

The Pit Supervisor will actively participate in day to day mining activity. In this position the Pit Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the open pit mining site. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Studying aerial photographs and contour maps to determine locations for cuts and roads.

Overseeing drilling and blast crews and the detonation of charges. Strategically placing the location of dump sites to allow maximum stripping.

Experience:

• Making schedules and following major repair work on drilling machines.
• Loading and stripping shovels experience along with other heavy equipment experience is required.
• Overseeing of crushing operations, training new workers, and other duties as required
