Salary: $80 000 - $140 000

Overview:

The People Bank is currently looking for a Metallurgist (Mining) for their client, one of the worlds top 10 steel producers. The project they are currently working on is at construction stage and due to start up in the following months. The chosen candidate (metallurgist) will report directly to the Processing Plant Superintendent and will participate actively in the execution of metallurgic best practice activities for the plant construction project and the operating phase.

Responsibilities:

Implement and develop metallurgic business best practices and policies within the metallurgic team Find metallurgical priorities and distribute resources accordingly Maximize operational efficiencies and competitive advantages by identifying process gaps

Experience and education:

• A Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical or Mineral Processing Engineering
• Ten years in plant experience
• Five years experience in the mining industry (working with a concentrator will be considered an asset)
