Geologist

Salary: $80 000 - $90 000

Overview:

We are currently looking for a Geologist (Mining) for their client, one of the world’s top 10 steel producers. The project they are currently working on is at construction stage and due to start up in the following months.

Responsibilities:

• The chosen candidate will be responsible for in-pit geological mapping, supervision of ore production and daily reporting Geological
• Evaluating and Monitoring will be required as well as assay data quality
• Coordinating with mining team from ORE grade point of views
• Geological mapping and interpretation during mine development and the resource definition phase
• Supervision of drilling, core logging and sampling during exploration are also part of the daily routine.

Experience:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Geology major
• Three to Five years experience in open pit mining
• Exposure in the mining, exploration or the consulting geology environment
