AutoCAD Drafter / Designer

Job Responsibilities:

• The Houston office of[Company] , an employee owned consulting firm with branch offices throughout the United States, specializing in geotechnical and environmental engineering, has an immediate opening for an AutoCAD Drafter/Designer seeking a challenging position with a growth-oriented company. Individual will work in a team oriented environment and must thrive in a fast paced, technically challenging workplace and should be able to work closely with our engineers and geologists in the development of specific civil design projects.

Job Requirements:

• Position will involve civil design using Civil 3D 2010 on design projects. Ideal candidate will have experience with and/or the ability to learn geometric design for civil engineering projects including creation of plan sets for mining, solid waste, and surface water projects. Experience with engineering calculations and GIS a plus. Responsibilities include performing geometric layout and design of landfills, dams, etc., calculating earthwork quantities and cut/fill ratios, performing general calculations to support facility design, interfacing with drafting personnel within the office and providing additional drafting support including preparation of details and revising drawing packages as necessary.
