Our client is a world leader in the mining industry and is seeking a dynamic individual to join their growing team for a permanent role.

Job Description:

The candidate will be familiar with rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling of materials handling equipment. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective maintenance of the customer's fleet of mining equipment in accordance with contract specifications and policies. The Project Manager will work closely with the client to identify and meet client production expectations and adhere to maintenance operations, planning and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the performance of workforce personnel and equipment fleet
• Ensuring cost and safety standards are consistent with client requirements
• Participating actively in project hand-over meetings with Sales and/or Product Line Manager
• Engaging in Project Risk Management through risk identification, risk mitigation planning, execution and risk monitoring
• Establishing quotations for contract variations and claims to client

Requirements:

• BSC in Mechanical/Electrical or Mining Engineering
• 10 years+ in experience in mining operations
• Demonstrated Project Management skills including financial and operational planning
• Strong Customer Service and interpersonal skills
• Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage cross functional and culturally diverse teams
• Excellent computer skills using MS Office Excel and database systems required
• Ability to travel and work rotational schedules
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
