Senior Project Controls Manager

Horizon Recruitment (formerly as WPCG Finance & Professional Recruitment) is currently recruiting for a Project Controls Manager for work in the busy mining industry! This job will require a 50/50 split shift to site and Vancouver.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that management decisions to control project performance and outcomes are based upon accurate and timely cost, schedule and progress performance information
• Responsible for planning the implementation of project control resources, processes, tools and systems on the major project and documenting this in the Project Control plan
• Managing the implementation of all the activities to deliver the outcomes stated in the planning module
• Responsible for policy and procedures for the area of project controls on any assigned major project

Requirements:

• Strong skills in the area of estimating, cost engineering, scheduling and management are essential
• Strong skills and knowledge of overall project implementation management processes
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• BSC in an Engineering Discipline
• Minimum 15 years experience in project management and controls on major infrastructure, mining and / or process plant project implementation

The role can be either contract or on a permanent basis depending on the individual.
