Our client, a large organization with a reputation for high-quality products and excellent service, is looking for a dynamic VP Industrial Project Development to lead the coordination of activities across numerous business segments on large strategic project accounts. In this role you will forge strong relationships with major corporations, Engineer Procure and Construct (EPC) companies, business partners and government and industry agencies and associations. The initial focus will revolve around major projects underway or planned for Newfoundland & Labrador. You would be based out of St. John's, NL.
Your proven experience and boundless enthusiasm will lead to success as a representative for the organization’s many companies, which include services like transportation and logistics, both marine and over the road, heavy lift and crane services, modular work structures and construction offices and fabrication.
A high level of professionalism is required to achieve sales goals and objectives, grow existing accounts, and identify new opportunities for growth. You are skilled at managing large accounts and using processes and structure to build client and industry relationships and identify growth opportunities. With your broad knowledge of industry sectors mentioned you have the ability to offer insightful analysis of the business issues faced by clients, work with the various business units and present both individual and integrated solutions.
In addition, you will actively prospect for new opportunities. With your keen understanding of current and future opportunities, you will analyze and review current market developments and provide in-depth competitive and opportunity analysis.
Knowledge and training in Large Account Management processes would be a benefit and exceptional communication skills are essential.
To excel in this challenging position you will have at least five years experience in handling strategic accounts or large projects for large organizations, preferably related to mining or energy. You will also have a post-secondary degree in business or engineering. An MBA would be an asset. Along with exceptional people skills, you have strong negotiating skills in ROI driven sales methods and techniques. Communications skills, both written and oral, are imperative.
