Senior Geotechnical Engineer

My client is a growth-focused Australian mid-cap gold producer with five Australian gold projects, a defined growth pathway, significant & exciting exploration potential and a strong financial position.

The Role
An opportunity exists at our Perth office for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide geotechnical support and assistance to our sites. Reporting to the Group Manager Technical, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out geotechnical project studies
• Reviewing and updating Ground Control Management Plans (GCMP) regularly
• Ensuring all sites adhere to mining regulations
• Proposing safe and cost effective mining plans to key site personnel
• Reporting on geotechnical issues across the sites and making recommendations
• for solutions
• Coaching and training junior technical
• staff on site and act as a mentor for them

To be successful
To be considered for this role you must be degree qualified in mining engineering or in an equivalent field with ideally 7 to 10 years geotechnical experience within the mining industry. You will have exceptional analytical skills as well as being able to apply expertise and technology to influence and guide others by delivering results and communicating and presenting information.
