Production Supervisor

We are currently hiring a Production Supervisor for our client, a leading quarry located in Southwestern Ontario. This is a permanent position with a range of 55-70K with paid OT, a full benefits package and payable bonus.

Role Overview:

The successful incumbent will support the production manager with all plant production activities, including the direct supervision of production employees; drive the participation and conformance to the H&S programs, support the production process and oversee the logistics of incoming and outgoing materials.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in business or related industrial field
• Preference given to candidates with 5+ years direct production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on quality, safety, environment, process & people
• A background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants is highly preferred
• Strong materials management skills
• Prior union workplace experience is a must
• A successful candidate will be results driven, a self-motivated person who demonstrates a high level of management & people skills
• Technical skills: SPC charts and Pareto analysis
• Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts
