Dragline Equipment Operator

Summary Description of Job And Duties:

• This is the highest skill level equipment operator.  This position operates heavy construction equipment such as but not limited to hydraulic shovels, draglines, pit loaders, dozer , rock breakers, etc.
• Position operates hydraulic shovel, dragline and other similar pieces of large heavy construction equipment to safely dig and load appropriate material.  Capable of excavating quarry to maintain desired face, ramp and floor conditions
• Position operates rock breaker within limitations to safely break oversize material to required sizes for crushing or for sale as rip rap
• Position operates front end loader to safely dig and load appropriate sized material onto trucks
• Is capable of operating any piece of mobile equipment at the designated site
• Directs and trains others to operate and maintain equipment as required
• Should be capable, if needed, to perform preventive maintenance on equipment being used

Required Skills

• A minimum of five years’ experience
• Acceptable performance, maintenance and safety history
• Exhibit high levels of competence, skill and proficiency
