Senior Geotechnical Engineer- Open pit Gold Mine

TRS are currently seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a large open pit gold mining operation in Western Australia.  This role is a great career opportunity, and will be offered on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth.
 
This is a Senior position which reports directly to the Mining Manager and is ultimately responsible for coordinating and aligning all Geotechnical aspects of this growing open pit operation.  
 
The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years experience as a Geotechnical Engineer within the Open Pit, Hard Rock mining environment
• Experience in mentoring more junior Geotechnical Engineers
• A strong background in the design,  maintenance and upgrade of site geotechnical monitoring systems
• Experience managing geotechnical contractors and consultants
• Comfortable with the use of mine planning and geotechnical software
