Cost Engineer

Cost Controllers all levels are required for this Large Multinational EPCM Company. Grab the chance and work on this exciting mining project and extend your previous experience as a Cost controller! 

Our client is looking for experienced cost controllers to join their team on this large mining project. As the successful candidate you are able to provide effective and visible cost controls, enable the accurate recording of data and analyze costs and trends in order to provide real time advice to the key project management based in Perth. Your duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:

• Identifying ways to improve and streamline work processes 
• Develop tools to monitor labour costs. The review of current and subsequent budgets and staff plans for the project teams 
• The tracking of weekly labour costs to ensure spending is kept within budget, making adjustments where appropriate 
• Taking part in change management processes. 
• Setting up, updating and maintaining cost databases. 
• The preparation of monthly reports 

To be successful for the role, you have the following background:

• Previous EPCM experience 
• 3-10 yrs as a Cost Controller in the mining industry 
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of accurately recording and analyzing. 
• Ability to interpreting and forecasting cost data for large projects 
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
