MINERAL PROCESSING ENGINEERS / ORE PROCESSING AND TIN RECOVERY PLANTS SUPERVISORS
Responsibilities:
To select suitable sites for the locations of ore processing plants, prepare process flow diagrams and plants design, select and install process equipment, oversee the construction of plant buildings, commissioning and startup of ore processing and tin recovery plants
To plan and implement the process water supply system to the ore processing and tin recovery plants, viz. Pumping Stations, pipelines and all related ancillaries and axillaries
To work closely with the appointed contractors and the mechanical & electrical departments at the mine for all the above
To ensure the proper, safe and smooth operations of the ore processing and tin recovery plants to achieve the tin production targets
To co-ordinate with the mining, mechanical and electrical departments on the operations of the tailings retention systems and pumping back of process water (by re-cycling) or by pumping from nearby waterways
Train, mentor and develop a cohesive and effective team for the operations and maintenance of ore processing and tin recovery plants
Prepare reports, estimates of costs and budgets
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in mineral processing, mineral resource engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent
Preferably 5 years operational experience in mining or mining related industries
Good inter-personnel skills and a team player
Computer and report writing skills in English are essential
