HARGEMEN – WITH VALID CERTIFICATES
(i.e with a Chargeman Certificate from A0 to A4 and/or from B0 to B4 and/or with Nil Restriction)
Responsibilities:
To assist the Electrical Engineers and work with the electricians and the electrical crews
To assist in installing and operating diesel gensets for power supply at the initial stages of mine development
Later, to assist in installing electrical power supply from the national grid, that will be required for operations of the mine, ore processing and tin recovery plants, pumping stations for process water supply and all other facilities and installations, e.g. office, workshops, houses, etc
Assist in the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of electrical systems for operations of the mine, ore processing and tin recovery plants, pumping stations for process water supply and all other facilities and installations, e.g. office, workshops, houses, etc
Perform preventive maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting to avoid unnecessary power failures
Attend to any power and machine failure/short/trip and rectify accordingly
Ensure new installations and maintenances are safe, correct and legal
Supervise the work of contractors and ensure safety regulations are compiled while carrying out their duties
Requirements:
Possess Chargeman Certificate (Category A or B or Nil Restriction) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
5 to 10 years work experience
Resourceful, initiative and performance driven
Able to work independently with minimum supervision and as a team
Must be willing to be relocated
