Our client is a global company providing engineering, consulting and project management services to the Oil & Gas and Mining & Metals industry. Their Engineering capabilities including planning, development and delivery of new projects and the optimisation, modification, operation and maintenance of existing facilities within their specialist niche markets.
Due to ongoing work and an increase in demand, they are now seeking Senior Mechanical & Structural Engineers to join their team in the Hunter. We are seeking Lead Engineers that have had 5 years drafting or design experience as well as 3 to 5 years project lead / supervising experience. 5 years’ experience within a Bulk Material Handling environment is necessary.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Advanced Diploma or Mechanical Engineer Degree is necessary
• 5 years’ experience within the Mining Industry
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• 5 years’ experience working within a drawing office
• Successful track record in managing 5 draftsmen
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Strong business acumen with an ability to demonstrate strategic thinking 3 Years’ experience in a similar role
• Coordinate and manage communication and engagement issues as they arise
• High Mechanical Aptitude
• Manage and Deliver Projects
Experience in design engineering and project delivery
On daily basis you will :
• Support and develop solutions for Mining Projects
• Initiate solutions and complete projects with Time frame allocated
• Supervise and Manage Design Dead Lines
• Develop team cohesion
• Run design & drafting reviews
• Manage Procurement aspects / purchase orders
• Create work orders and liaise with Project Managers
• Look after Health Safety / Hazardous studies
• Detail to Project Delivery
• Strong customers relations
