Manager, Technical Product Sales

SMS Equipment Inc. supplies equipment parts and service to the construction, forestry and mining industries and utility product users. It was created to provide customers with integrated solutions and to expand our service capabilities as a nationwide organization.

Reporting to the General Manager, Product Support, this position develops, analyzes and enhances the support capabilities of SMS's departments and branch operations related to the sale of whole goods with the intent of defining, recommending and implementing improvements that will increase equipment sales and improve on support practices. Leads, directs, and sets guidelines for departments, branch operations and individuals directly involved of the sale and support of whole goods. The incumbent maintains relationships with key management and product experts as well as the recognized group of manufacturers with the goal of providing leadership, training and support as a product expert, in order to achieve the company's mission and to implement and support the policies, goals and objectives established by the President, Chief Operating Officer and SMS Management.

Qualifications

• Experience within the Heavy Equipment Business with knowledge of mining, construction and forestry equipment
• Sales, marketing and product support experience are essential
• Trade certification in a relevant trade would be considered an asset with a minimum of 3 years technical expertise
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proactive in keeping abreast of cutting edge technology and best practices pertaining to the company's products and services
