OTS offers a wide range of professional and technical services which include:

  • Commissioning and Start-Up
  • Project Management
  • Operations Support
  • Maintenance Support
  • Construction Support

Reporting to the Corporate Office, this individual would be responsible for full-cycle recruitment of commissioning and start-up (CSU) professionals and technicians. Duties include:

  • Provide guidance and direction in regards to recruitment processes and systems.
  • Work with managers to establish effective, role-specific recruitment strategies.
  • Develop/monitor external job postings, and pre-screen candidates.
  • Process internal and direct referral candidates.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, including creation of relevant and effective interview guides.
  • Facilitate pre-employment requirements and conduct reference checks.
  • Establish a candidate pool and develop/maintain relationships with potential candidates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies.
  • Participate in corporate projects as required.
  • Support front-line human resource activities as required.
  • Actively seek out and develop relevant contacts within the industry and related groups.
  • Design and execute company attraction activities such as career fairs and information sessions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with targeted technical schools, colleges and universities.
  • Provide an innovative approach to actively promoting the organization as an employer of choice.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Post-secondary education/training in human resources or related field.
  • RPR and/or CHRP designation preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • Knowledge of industry-related job descriptions and safety requirements.
  • Experience working with provincial apprenticeship programs.
  • Ability to build relationships with candidates and staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinking and initiative in developing new sourcing activities.
  • Proficiency in utilization of social media and other networking tools to identify candidates.
  • Superior skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in behavioral interviewing techniques and recruitment methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Temporary Foreign Worker program considered an asset.
  • Periodic travel will be required.
