Sales Engineer - Mining Geotechnical

Position Summary:

Our client, who is a leading supplier of Geotechnical and Geosynthetic products, is looking for an experienced sales person to grow their business within the mining sector across Canada, but primarily in Northern Ontario. The ideal candidate will be a 'Hunter" by nature with a deep understanding of the Canadian mining industry. This role is based on a salary basis rather than commissions.

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineering team to understand the products being offered by the company
• Develop new business and new applications for Geotechnical products within Canada's mining sector
• Travel to office in Cambridge and clients as needed
• Work to understand the mining industry, what projects are in progress and what projects are planned for the future.
• Offer first line onsite technical support to clients.

Requirements:

• A proven ability to increase sales of technical products within the mining industry
• Knowledge of Canada's mining industry
• Ability to travel as needed for work
• An engineer or other technical background is preferred.

Locations:

My client would prefer this person to be located in the Cambridge, Ontario area, but would also consider work from home situations for people in Northern Ontario or Vancouver.
