The Role

The Corporate Controller reports directly to the CFO and ensures delivery of the highest level of financial information to facilitate decision making and support the future growth of the company. The role involves a broad range of functions including public company financial reporting, internal controls, planning and budgeting, and policies and procedures. The role also assists with the writing of the quarterly MD&A, collaborates with the Operations Controller and works closely with external auditors. As the company grows, the role will expand to provide support on acquisition analysis, financing and treasury.

Candidate Profile

• Completed CA, CMA or CGA designation
• Public company financial reporting experience in mining, manufacturing or the wider industrial sector; alternatively, public practice audit experience in the mining sector
• Outstanding technical skills in financial accounting and the desire to learn more
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented but also able to see the bigger picture
• Strong focus on best practices, quality and continuous improvement
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable with a high degree of autonomy
• Adept at building strong working relationships internally and externally
