Mechanic (Machine Rebuild)

Job Description:

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, reseal or recondition Caterpillar off highway truck parts and components. Must be able to work in a team environment, follow written and verbal instruction, possess organizational skills, make parts re-use decisions, research parts and service information, understand schematics and maintain quality and financial program standards. Be able to demonstrate minimal verbal and computer skills required to access e-mail, service and parts information and properly communicate equipment condition, job status and recommendations to clients, supervisors and management.

Requirements:

• Communicate verbally and in writing, information, instructions and explanations to associates, customers and management regarding vehicle/component/equipment conditions, problems, recommendations, and repair processes.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge is required, as well as knowledge in operating scanning/diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge and skills to operate and understand diagnostic equipment including computerized instrumentation.
• Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
• Consistent attendance.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar machine components and systems.
• Own and maintain required personal tools.
• Current driver’s license.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
