Treating - Project Manager Engineer

Primary Purpose:

  • Provide technical support, leadership and oversight to all commercial, operational, regulatory and maintenance activities as assigned within the KM Treating Business Unit, including gas conditioning, dehydration, project management and construction activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Amine treating, dehydration and MRU design, project construction including P&IDs and project management
  • Material / equipment sizing and specification
  • Project scope development
  • Material / equipment procurement
  • Contracting and bidding work
  • Contract evaluation (construction and commercial)
  • Basic project economic evaluation
  • Cost estimating and generation of AFE’s
  • Development of project schedules
  • Project / construction management (cost and schedule controls)

Position Requirements
Education:

  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering or B.S. Chemical Engineering desired, other Engineering disciplines will be considered based on work experience

Experience/Specific Knowledge

  • 1-5 years industry experience
  • Knowledge of MRU, amine treating and dehydration design, and related industry equipment operations, maintenance codes and practices, working knowledge of field construction and associated construction codes.
  • Knowledge modeling-simulation experience (Promax) in amine, dehydration, MRU
  • Working knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs and control logic

Competencies, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, completeness and meeting deadlines, and commitments.
  • Analytical skills and logical thought process.
  • Intermediate to advance level in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, including tacking and managing various tasks.
  • Must be able to successfully and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, and work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to travel to job sites (requiring overnight stays)
  • Must be able to work extended hours in case of startup situations
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedule, focus attention on details, and follow rules.

Working Conditions:

  • Will be required to make frequent trips to the field for site visits, PSSRs, etc.
  • Be available by phone to discuss projects after hours and on weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to company's insurer.
