Senior Mine Surveyor

FIFO (ex Perth) on a 9:5 roster or residential in Kalgoorlie or Kambalda

Independence Group invites applications from Mine Surveyors with significant industry experience to join our Long Victor Operation at Kambalda. The role reports directly to the Underground Manager and is responsible for the co-ordination and leadership of all surveying activities on site. Itwill offer the successful applicant the opportunity to use their skills and experience in a friendly and more personal environment than many other prospects offer.

If you already have:

A proven background in Underground Mine Surveying at a senior level with at least 4 years leading a small team in an underground environment (essential);
A relevant qualification in Surveying (Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science) and are an authorised Mine Surveyor – Grade One (essential);
Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet production deadlines and ensure your team do the same;
Well-developed communication and mentoring skills and the ability to contribute as an active team member with all levels of the organization;
Good analytical and problem solving skills;
Experience with relevant industry software – Surpac and experience with Leica instruments;
A thorough understanding of Mine Safety and Inspection regulations and a strong commitment to production and safety;
Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable); and
A current and valid driver’s license.
