HSE Advisor – Fixed Term Contract

Leading Mining & Resources Company who has successfully delivered some of the largest projects in Australia requires a HSE Advisor to join their team on a fixed term basis.  This company believe in the Zero tolerance policy and fully have the full support of all their staff also. 

You will provide direction and development of occupational health and safety activities across the site operations, directly reporting into the HSE Manager.   These activities include but are not limited to the management systems, processes, polices, and resources are in place are aligned to meet the short, medium and long term Health and Safety needs as required.


Responsibilities:

• Implementation of HSE systems to achieve project outcomes
• Develop, coordinate and maintain site records and inductions
• Conduct site incident investigations and reporting
• Ensure all Occupational Health and Safety legislation regulations are adopted and complied with
• Communicate and maintain a culture of “Zero Tolerance” to HSE incidents with site personnel
• Actively promote methods to identify, eliminate or control HSE hazards in the workplace
• Accompanying authorised inspectors on accident investigations and or site inspections
• Assist site management to prepare and maintain all site based HSEQ documents to comply with management’s plans and regulations

Selection Criteria:

• Formal qualifications in OHS Management
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation
• High Standard of written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge, experience or training in Risk Management
• The ability to communicate effectively with all people at all levels in the organisation
• Advanced level of computer literacy and ability to analyse data
