Senior Mine Geologist

Our Technologies team is currently seeking qualified Mine Geologists at all levels to join a team of geological professional’s responsible of ensuring the supply of products to internal and external customers. 

Reporting directly into the Principle Geologist you will be responsible for all mine technical changes both short and long term.

Responsibilities for this critical role are:     

• Provide geological support and knowledge to the Principal Geologist.
• Be the owner of Geotechnical monitoring systems and investigation processes.
• Design and execute resource infill drilling programs.
• Provide Geological and Geotechnical input into mine design and mine planning.
• Implementation of 6 Sigma Processes to the mining operation for process improvement.
• Provide cross business support for internal customer quality issues.
• Elevate potential resourcing issues with potential solutions.

This role will focus on providing mentoring and development for geologists, as training and development are key strong points with this organisation.

Key credentials:

• Degree in Geology or Mining Related Discipline.
• Experience in a mining environment.
• Experience & knowledge in geological technical logging interpretation.
• Demonstrated experience managing geological functions in an open cut mining operation.
• Sound understanding of geological resource modeling processes.
• Keen interest in coaching and mentoring Geologists.
