Station Chemist - Coal Fired Boiler Plant

• 10-15 yrs experience - laboratory mgt / COAL FIRED BOILER PLANT Exp
• $180K + based on relevant exp / Overseas posting / tax benefits
• Establish new laboratory (equipment/ calibration/ commissioning/ safety standard

A Greenfield project moving to the production phase now has the opportunity for an experienced Chemist to join their team, create your own vision and establish your own laboratory.  You will be able to draw on your 10 years + experience within a COAL FIRED BOILER PLANT environment where you where involved in boiler water chemistry, quality control and managed chemical treatment. 
You will be given a lot of autonomy to set up the laboratory as you see fit and you will have the opportunity to build your team of local national's and expat's.

Your responsibilities:

• Establish the operating protocols for the new laboratory and equipment, 
• Involved in equipment selection, delivery, installation and operations, 
• Definition of control procedures, testing methods, manage the repair and control of instrument and chemical processes, 
• Coordination of delivery of materials / maintenance of supplier contracts, 
• Contribution to chemical plant maintenance, 

The requirements:

• Chemical degree, 
• 10 to 15 years experience within a COAL FIRED BOILER PLANT, 
• Knowledge of chemistry processes and critical issues with boiler water chemistry, Quality Control, managing the chemical treatment process 
• Understanding of SAP maintenance system, 
• Exposure to equipment commissioning, 
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
