An exciting vacancy exists for a highly motivated sales engineer professional to join the East Coast Team based in Yatala, northern end of Gold Coast.  This position will require travel all over the East Coast to potential clients, to our projects throughout Australia and occasionally overseas. 
  

Position duties include 

• Making regular visits to existing clients and exploratory visits to new clients. 
• Assist with the preparation of the Annual commercial exploratory plan 
• Optimise sales activities in multiple market segments such as assembly yards, major civil works, energy, wind turbines, power plants, nuclear, oil & gas mining & industrial in cooperation with Senior Management 
• Visiting all important contractors in the area and explaining to them the Sarens creative technical solutions for project activities 
• Assist with making bids in collaboration with Sarens application engineers (in Australia and Belgium HQ) and admin & QESH people 
• Assist with reporting the general ongoing business within the Sarens local branch to the Sarens Australia management in Brisbane including annual forecast plans and budgets made in co-operation with the Senior Sales Manager. 

  
The position requires the following: 

• Tertiary Education in engineering or equivalent through experience 
• Experience in sales, preferably in a project environment 
• Able to work independently or as part of a team 
• Excellent oral and written communication in English 
• Excellent organisational skills 
• Approachable and friendly manner 

Desirable 

• Crane knowledge, SPMT’s basics 
• Professional experience in the domain of petrochemical, refinery and mining installations 
• Previous experience in overseas projects is an advantage 
• A second language like mandarin is an advantage but not essential
