Dewatering - Boilermaker

Consolidated Minerals has a core production base in carbon and stainless steel raw materials through our manganese, nickel and chromite businesses in Western Australia – cementing our position as a niche supplier of high-quality, strategic minerals to world markets.
We have over 450 employees and contractors working at our manganese and chromite operations in the Pilbara region and our nickel operations in the Kambalda region of Western Australia. We are also developing new commodity opportunities in other growth areas with investments in copper, zinc and iron ore, and we are pursuing other diversification and expansion initiatives to help us realise our vision of becoming a premier global diversified resources company.
 
The current role on offer is a Boilermaker for the Dewatering division at our Woodie Manganese Operations, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara. The right applicant will be offered a competitive remuneration package, a 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth, and will enjoy the luxury of staying in a modern camp, with great facilities and culture.
 
Reporting to the Dewatering Supervisor, the successful applicant will be required:
  • To perform all work activities with the highest regards to industry safety standards
  • Be self motivated, proactive, express a positive attitude and have a keen interest in pursuing a career in Open pit Mining
  • Work independently as well as part of the Dewatering Team
  • Be physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties safely
  • Have experience working with submersible and mechanical pumps
  • Work with/around heavy machinery
  • Must be prepared to undertake and assist with the full scope of works encompassed by the Dewatering Department inclusive of maintenance and labouring tasks
 
The following requirements would be advantageous for this role:
  • Trade Qualified Boilermaker
  • Current Dogman or rigger ticket (advantageous)
  • Current HR drivers licence
  • Tele-handler experience (ticket optional)
  • CV or CN crane ticket (advantageous)
  • Working at Heights ticket (advantageous)
  • Fixed Plant Maintenance Experience
  • Able to adapt to change of direction for duties on a daily basis.
  • Good communication skills
  • Outgoing with strong initiative
  • Team player
  • Able to work outside in 50+ deg (summer)
  • Must be able to swim 50m unassisted
