Process Control Engineer

Job Description

• Provide Process Control design services at all levels of detail from conceptual design through final installation for all construction materials facilities. Develop Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) programs to control aggregate, asphalt, and ready mix facilities. Assist Corporate Network Services (CNS) Department in the installation and configuration of plant networks, wireless systems, and firewalls. Serve as corporation's representative to interface with and provide technical guidance to system integrators and construction contractors.  Provide cost estimates, and project schedules for capital and expense projects as needed.
• Support existing facilities to maintain and upgrade existing control systems.
• Must maintain knowledge of current methods, best practices, and code standards including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NEMA relating to assigned work.  Develop technical specifications and purchase requisitions for process control equipment.

Required Skills

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering and professional engineering license desired, but not required. 
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the design and installation of heavy industrial control systems is desired, preferably in aggregates or related industry. 
• Candidate should have knowledge of industrial controls systems, and computer, PLC, and HMI, programming. 
• Knowledge of computer networking is desired, but not required.  
• Other skills include identifying electrical problems, troubleshooting, and field installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley, GE, Wonderware, Pi Historian, systems is strongly desired. Knowledge of SQL Server and other reporting software is a plus.
