Are you our next Summer Intern – Mechanical Engineer?

• We are currently seeking a Summer Intern – Mechanical Engineer for our Carlsbad, NM location. The Summer Intern – Mechanical Engineer will provide mining and mechanical engineering services to the Surface Maintenance Department.

What will you do?

• Gathers information and prepares documentation including cost estimates and preliminary engineering design.
• Assists in preparing project specifications, quotation requests for material requests.
• Monitors project budgets, costs and schedule for on-time performance and prepares applicable reports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant MSHA requirements and Mosaic safety regulations.
• Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers.
• Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineering education program.
• Strong organizational skills, communications and leadership skills are required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
