Our client is one of Australia's leading coal operations in Queensland.  This quality company has excellent staff retention and develops their skills through training and internal promotion. Due to continued growth our client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager for one of their major operations in the Mackay area

As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

• Service and strategic Operations function to formulate, design and implement contemporary Operations practices. 
• Lead and drive strategic business improvement initiatives including coal quality issues, customer relations, environmental monitoring, day of operations control and plant equipment operation
• Ensuring compliance with and the application of DBCT P/L's systems, standards and procedures
• Improve operation throughput efficiency through the development and implementation of strategic operational plans and frameworks.

To be considered for the role of Operations Manager you will be able to demonstrate:

• Expertise in all facets of Operations within complex multi-dimensional heavy industry, process environment or bulk materials handling facilities such as ports or coal handling plants.
• Relevant industry tertiary education and qualifications
• Applicants must have the ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
