Sales Representative

Job Description

• Under minimum supervision, will become familiar with all aspects of the area sales procedures. Develop an understanding of our products, usage, and pricing procedures. Assist sales department in taking and processing orders, quotations, products inquiries, and customer relations. Assist in any department projects when needed and serve as a support in any other duties within the department. Become familiar with sales department procedures by developing an understanding of our products and our customers' businesses. Prepare price quotations, process sales orders, and verify customer credit applications. Assist in the maintenance of the sales information database. Provide sales forecast for production through the system with operations management. Become familiar with all aspects of area sales procedures such as highway lettings, follow-up procedures for construction jobs, and establishing and maintaining good customer relations. Responsible for maintaining effective customer relations by responding to all customer requests, resolving routine problems and complaints, ensuring delivery coordination between sales department and the customer. Responsible for handling special projects as assigned and for assisting the sales staff with their responsibilities as necessary so special projects are met in a timely manner.

Required Skills

• B.S. Degree in Marketing or Business Administration. Must have a high proficiency in computer skills for spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
• Excellent skills in quantitative analysis, interpersonal, oral, and written communications.
