An excellent opportunity for Training Officer - Mechanical has arisen to join our Plant Operation Support. Residentially based in Sangatta Project and reporting to the Plant Site Manager, you will have responsibilities to train and assess TCI Plant Personnel in all aspects of mechanical in order to achieve maximum productivity with a high focus on safety and to ensure that TCI training requirements for tradesman personnel are being conducted with the TMS.
The scope of your role will include but not be limited to provide Mechanical trade and allied training for TCI personnel in order to increase productivity, maintenance and repair capability of TCI plant team; deliver effective theoretical training in accordance with TCI TMS and the requirements of the Australian National Metals and Engineering Industry Competency Standards; conduct relevant practical training; conduct other allied training courses in qualified competencies and in accordance with the TMS; assist in the development of relevant practical training aids; develop, review, revise and amend TCI Training Packages and lessons plans; promote TCI courses to site personnel ensuring that purpose and content of training is understood; active involvement in the planning of training activities; conduct assessment activities; ensured all attained competencies are recorded in both hard & soft copy; design assessment material; conduct tests and examinations.
To be successful in this role you will requires recognized Trade and / or Mechanical engineering Qualifications or ex TCI Apprentices with at least 4 year field experience on tools; certificate IV in Training; understanding of Industry practice and standard; ability to work effectively with others and related to colleagues and ability to cope with additional responsibilities; computer literacy and excellent English communication skill -written and verbal; preparedness for extensive travels to sites, good interpersonal skills.
