Afternoon Shift Foreman - Port Coquitlam Branch

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Afternoon Shift Foreman is responsible for the safe, efficient and economical operation of the Branch shop facilities and field service related activities.  This position oversees a shop that maintains repairs and rebuilds heavy equipment and electrical apparatus.  Position assigns work and allocates trades people time to best utilize manpower.  Responsibilities include assisting trades people in repair procedures and techniques when problems are encountered.

Qualification

• Thorough knowledge of the maintenance and repair of mining equipment.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate large shop operations.
• Requires a Red Seal trade certification as either a Heavy Duty Mechanic or as an Electric Motor Systems Technician.
• 5-7 years of experience as a qualified tradesman in the relevant trade.
• 2-4 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment is required (preferably in a dealership environment).
• Requires knowledge of OH&S acts and regulations and equipment inspection requirements.
