Project Engineer

Our client is in the peel region. They are a global company that is a leader in the consumer goods industry with several brands that have become a household name. They are currently looking for Project Engineer to join their team on a FT basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and executing projects from start to finish (projects could consist of launching of new machinery, updating old machinery, facility projects, processes etc)
• Responsible for ensuring all projects meet the budget of the department
• Providing technical support to the operations group
• Trouble shooting of machinery
• Working with other departments to ensure the organizations goals are met

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering Degree from a reputable organization
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment ( consumer goods, plastics/film industry)
• Must have an understanding and hands on experience with World Class Manufacturing using lean techniques like visual factory, Zero effort change over and Equipment center lining
• Strong leadership skills (able to lead/ motivate teams, lead by example)
• Exceptional communication skills (Verbal & written)
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
