Training Coordinator - residential 5/2 roster

My client is a world class copper mining company base in Central NSW is looking for an experience Training Coordinator to join their progressive underground mining operation. The main objective of this role is to conduct activities to ensure legislative compliance and continuous improvement at the mining operations in all matters related to the learning and development of all workers.  

Reporting to the SHET Manager, you will be responsible for 

• Maintain site training matrix, InTuition training database and develop weekly training plan for the site trainers. 
• Schedule and manage all external training and surface training requirements. 
• Oversee the management of site inductions. 
• Review of training packages and assessments as part of document control process. 
• Review and process higher duties, reclassifications, new starters, terminations etc in the training matrix and database. 
• Liaise with HS&ER Advisors to coordinate training opportunities for the Mines Rescue team and participate in Inter-Mine training exercises.  
• Maintain up to date knowledge of operations and projects in order to effectively conduct work and provide accurate information to other departments and contractors. 
• Prompt, correct and accurate reporting of OHS hazards, incidents and activities to the HSET team.  

To be successful you must possess the following:

• Cert IV in Training & Assessing 
• Cert IV in OH&S is advantageous 
• A minimum of 3 + years as a Training Coordinator / Advisor 
• Strong analytical skills 
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
• Experience with excavators, dozers, graders and other surface mobile equipment will be highly regarded 
• Must be a team player and promote work culture
