Estimator

Our client in Cambridge, Ontario is looking for an experienced Estimator with commercial construction experience. This is an opportunity to join a company with over 40 years experience in the Building Industry and continues to be a leader in the Ontario construction industry.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in a general contracting environment with direct experience on commercial projects
• Strong computer skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities:

• Participation and understanding of both design/build and build to spec contracts.
• Interpret project drawings and specifications, analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation.
• Responsible for accurate take-off of quantities from project drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for the preparations and documentation of project estimates using estimating package software and following estimating policy and procedures.
• Estimate Preparation - labour hours, material costs, tender form requirements tool & equipment lists, scheduling, and compile bid packages for subcontractors.
