Civil/Water Resources Engineer

From 180 offices worldwide, our more than 8,000 employees work with clients to manage their environmental and engineering activities in a technically sound, economically viable, and socially responsible manner.
  • The Redmond, Washington office is seeking a Civil/Water Resource Engineer to work as part of a team on civil and water resource related projects. The successful candidate will be able to assist with the evaluation and design of a diverse range of projects including pipeline and pumping systems, dams, new mine design and mine remediation, surface water management, industrial site remediation and transportation projects. Some travel will be required.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering required, with a M.S. in a Water Resource related discipline preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and general civil design.
  • EIT or PE registration.

Desirable skills would include:

  • Experience in performing hydrologic analyses.
  • Experience with fluvial geomorphologic assessments.
  • Experience in design of surface water control features, such as dams, channels, diversions and energy dissipation structures.
  • Experience in designs including pressurized piping systems and pumps.
  • Experience with water balance and water supply assessments.
  • Experience with compiling construction documents including design drawings and specifications.
