Financial Analyst

Diversity Technologies Corp. is a distribution/manufacturing company providing chemical products to the Oil and Gas and Mining Industries. We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our successful South Edmonton Finance team. This position will provide support and assistance to the Chief Financial Officer with financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis.

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with financial analysis and who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to all levels within an organization are required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for compiling and analyzing corporate financial forecasts and budgets.
• Preparing timely monthly financial reports.
• Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with company policy and procedure as well as government compliance.
• Collect, evaluate and apply financial and statistical data to analyze and make financial decisions and recommendations.
• Populate statistical modeling programs.
• Make recommendations for improvement on any areas that may be uncovered as a result of analysis and project work.
• Ensure company records are properly maintained and safeguarded.
• Responsible for assisting the business units by providing value added decision support and financial analysis.
• Conduct the month-end process for business units.
• Responsible for the timely completion of government surveys.
• Assist other accounting personnel as required.

Qualifications:

• A related university degree or equivalent education and experience
• Accounting designation preferred
• Minimum of 2 years financial analysis experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
