From 180 offices worldwide, our more than 8,000 employees work with clients to manage their environmental and engineering activities in a technically sound, economically viable, and socially responsible manner.
- The Tucson office has an opening for a geotechnical engineer to supervise geotechnical and geological engineering projects for mining and transportation clients. The successful candidate will perform engineering design and analyses for foundations, slope stability, retaining walls, earthworks, and surface water facilities. The successful candidate will also conduct field explorations, provide construction support, write reports, mentor junior staff, and will work as part of a team on larger projects. Assignments could include travel to remote locations and outside work in varying climates.
Job Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering and a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a general civil, geotechnical, geological, or surface water emphasis
- Work experience and proficiency in AutoCAD design preferred
- Have professional civil engineer registration or be in the process of receiving professional registration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with leadership ability and willingness to travel as dictated by project demands
- Possess a valid U.S. driver license
- Pass a pre-employment physical including drug screening and a background check
- Extensive field investigation and sampling experience preferred.
- It is also beneficial to be comfortable in remote settings, with a can-do attitude, and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed to complete an assignment and satisfy project demands
