Senior Programmer / Analyst

Summary Description of Position

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging and documenting in-house developed or purchased business applications. Provides technical expertise to business users on production support issues and submits complex resolutions and design recommendations for approval.   Complies with all standard practices, procedures and policies governing principal duties and responsibilities.  Participates in project plan development and managing small IT projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

• Responsible for developing, installing, testing and maintaining approved application changes. To ensure defined and approved business requirements are met, data integrity is maintained and processes are efficient.
• Works with business representatives and other I/S personnel in the development of business requirements and develops associated technical requirements and design documentation for approval.  Assist in the development of test plans and performs all unit testing required to ensure programs and systems meets business and technical requirements.
• Assist support personnel and business representatives in the development of test plans, training documentation and system documentation
• Work in other assigned areas e.g. performance tuning, other IT projects

Required Skills

Education, Experience, Skills Required:

• General understanding of assigned application’s design concepts, architecture, tools and system environment.    Ability to design, develop, test, debug and document programs and maintain those programs.  Ability to work with the business representatives and Senior I/S personnel in the development of complex business system requirements and associated implementation plans. Good verbal and written communication skills.
• 4 years’ experience in analysis and programming
• Oracle eBusiness technical knowledge in the area of Oracle GL, Inventory, AP, AR and Procurement
• PL/SQL, Customization, Reports, Workflow, Personalization’s experience
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field
