Project Manager – Senior

For this role, we are looking for an individual who is able to lead a small team of 4-6 Project individuals.

Your experience within the industry will be supported by an engineering foundation from Mechanical Engineering prior to transitioning into more of a project role.

You would be responsible for the management of all projects up to $50MM from concept through design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.

Other responsibilities include:

• Management of all phases of projects from concept through design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning
• Management of Projects from $100,000 up to $30,000,000 in size
• Leading a team of 4-6 Project Managers
• Accountable for all aspects of project including client interface, engineering, supply management, project controls and project margin
• Allocating and optimizing the use of project services personnel within projects
• Ensuring consistent and appropriate project reporting
• Ensuring all activities are carried out according to the set policies, execution models, procedures etc., using agreed upon common tools and systems
• Serving as the interface with stakeholders: management; corporate groups, partners, and clients
• Taking technical accountability for design integrity and reliability
• Ensuring full use of corporate engineering expertise/consultancy
• Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Ensuring all team accountabilities are fully defined; all team activities and decisions are continually in support of the project objectives, principles and priorities
• Taking responsibility for implementing the project risk management process
• Ensuring corporate support is involved where warranted to assess risks
• Accountable for scope change control
• Acting as a leader towards HSE excellence
• Assisting and participating in bidding and sales proposals and client negotiations
• Contributing to the standardization process of modular packages
• Prepare mechanical equipment datasheets, MRQ's, TBE's, MRP's
• Review/verify mechanical design of equipment
• Perform mechanical calculations of various custom components
• Initiate/follow through ABSA registrations
• Potential for more responsibilities depending on performance
