Process Operator

Part of a diversified global group, the team at Consolidated Minerals are currently focusing on the expansion of our Pilbara Manganese and Chromite mining operations through exploration and development of our large regional land holding.

With a world renowned high grade deposit of Manganese which is essential to steel production, and an enviable track record of being one of the world's leading suppliers, we are well placed in the market and look forward to continued growth.

We are currently seeking Fixed Plant Operators to work at our Coobina Chromite open pit mining operation, located 80km south-east of Newman. The right applicant will be offered a competitive remuneration package, a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, and will enjoy the luxury of working with a great team in a long term position.
 
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Supervisor, responsibilities will include:
  • Perform all work activities with the highest regards to industry safety standards
  • Be self motivated, proactive, express a positive attitude and have a keen interest in pursuing a career in mineral processing
  • Operate mobile plant equipment, predominantly CAT 980 Loaders and CAT 740 artic Trucks, Bobcat Skid Steer
  • Plant clean up duties i.e. general labouring, hosing up & skid steer work
  • Liaise with other Processing personnel to achieve production goals
 
Requirements to be successful in this role are:
  • Have a considerable amount of experience operating Loaders
  • Experience in heavy media drum separating is preferable
  • Strong organisation, concentration and communication skills
  • Outgoing with strong initiative
  • Physically fit
  • Team player
  • Current HR drivers licence
