Mechanical Structural- Engineering Officer

One of W.A’s leading contractors is in urgent need for this exclusive, ongoing position. Immediate start with a minimum 3 month contract on this massive mine expansion project. Occasional site visits. Unbeatable office culture. Trade certificate desired.

The successful candidate will have hands on experience with running pipe, installing pumps and valves etc. and who could do material take offs and purchasing from information provided on drawings and Piping & Instrumentation diagrams. Our client do not need an engineer for design work as they generally outsource the design element of the work.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
  • Provide mechanical engineering assistance to site supervision teams
  • Review mechanical drawings related to projects as provided by the client
  • Provide technical direction to designers assigned to specific tasks
  • Develop scope documentation for Mechanical installation contracts
  • Interpret client specifications and drawings and prepare tender packages for project tendering and execution
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and project team to raise and resolve technical queries
  • Become part of this amazing team and utilize your expertise on this large project portfolio

As an ideal candidate you will have;
  • 5 years experience with technical Mechanical knowledge
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or tertiary qualification desirable but not essential
  • A combination of experience in a similar industry, construction exposure and continued education
  • Trade Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the use of Aconex would be an advantage
  • Obtained or working towards mechanical contractors licensing
  • Australian residency or the right to live and work in Australia
