Analyst, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations
The Analyst, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations will be responsible for analyzing and creating reports on the company’s financial and operating results, competitor financial and operating results, investors, stakeholders, other industry participants and capital markets.
About the Opportunity
- Analyze the company’s financial and operating results, shareholders and investor’s outcomes
- Create competitive analysis, including competitors and other industry participants, commodities, currencies and capital markets
- Provide summary and insight into equity research reports on the company, competitors and the industry
- Prepare, review and verify data and information on various presentations and marketing collateral
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly report on shareholders, equity research expectations, analyst valuations, results expectation reports, and other ad hoc reports for the VP, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations
- Manage all of the analytical aspects of the department and liaison with external vendors and other departments for the information
About You
- This position requires a minimum education of a University degree in Business with completion of Canadian Securities Course
- CFA designation is an asset
- This position requires a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience in an analytical position with a public company in an Investor Relations department
- Mining company experience an asset
- Knowledge of capital markets and publicly traded companies
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with great attention to detail including the ability to analyze data and interpret it clearly and accurately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in preparing presentations and presenting findings
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and work well under pressure
- Excellent planning, organizational skills and results oriented
- Maintains a positive helping disposition and a stellar work ethic, proactive in anticipating needs, planning ahead and determining next steps
- The ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and suggest solutions
- Ability to deal with challenging behaviours and conflicting priorities as necessary
- Strong skills with MS Office applications (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish, an asset
