Civil Estimator/Scheduler

Work as a Civil Estimator/Scheduler and gain further experience in the mining industry with this large contractor based in Perth. This company wants the right candidate to join them with a Civil, Contractor background and extensive experience as an Estimator/Scheduler.

Wyn Recruitment is now looking for a Civil Estimator to work for a large contractor in the mining construction industry. Use your experience from a similar role and join this team for a long term opportunity and work on large projects in Western Australia. Our client is in need of an experienced estimator who has a background in mining construction and at least 5 years experience within an Estimator role. You will be preparing post- submission responses as well as analysing tender documents and review draft construction contracts. To be successful you have strong personal organisational skills, possess an excellent understanding of HSE regulations and standards and are able to use Primavera P6 for scheduling.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Reading and reviewing data sheets and engineering drawings
  • Analysis of tender documents and follow up and analysis of RFQs
  • Provide input into improving policies and systems for the estimating process
  • Prepare post-submission responses to client for the clarification of matters
  • Review draft construction contracts for adequacy of cost and schedule requirements
  • Comment on proposed commercial terms of projects
  • Preparing cost estimates and mentoring and training others
The successful candidate must have the following background:
  • At least 5 years experience in Mining Construction Industry and Estimation
  • Calculate indirect cost estimates against industry benchmarks
  • Strong personal organisational skills
  • Excellent understanding of HSE regulations and standards
  • Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related subjects
  • Previous experience using Primavera P6 for scheduling
