E&I Supervisor

WYN Recruitment has just undertaken a brand new hot role, and requires the services of an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to run a team of highly skilled Electrical specialist and be part a major underground mine expansion project located in WA.

The mine was recently given the go ahead to a future expansion project, moving it from an open pit to an underground mine. The project is predominantly an underground construction requiring high quality development and engineering excellence with the Block Cave expected to operate until at least 2018. 
The mine covers about 450,000 square meters and reaches about 600 metres deep at its deepest point. The open cut is nearing the end of its life and is due to close this year and progress underground. 

As the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor your duties will include:
  • Be able to identify the requirements for input into procurement and construction contract packages.
  • Oversee the quality of the deliverables.
  • Be able to ensure the implementation of the project procedures. 
  • Liaise with personnel and contractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Development and approval of load commissioning plans and procedures.
  • Preparing and issuing weekly and monthly Progress Reports.
  • Participate in site quality audits of the contractors and quality systems.
To be considered for the positions you MUST possess:
  • 5 years minimum experience working on EPCM projects
  • A minimum 10 years experience working in senior level roles
  • An excellent proven track record working on large scale projects
  • A high level of technical accuracy and experience
  • Highly experienced in HV Switching
  • Excellent team involvement, mentoring, coordination and communication skills
  • Be able to liaise with clients on all levels
  • Be able to work in harsh environments
